Orthrus Dual Motor Drive Unit
Overview
Two as One
The Orthrus Dual Motor Drive Unit is the integration of power and intelligence into a single, sculpted form. Housed within a forged carbon fibre casing, Orthrus unites two Axrad Nexis motors with a shared inverter to create an exceptionally compact and efficient system. With immersion cooling at its core, it delivers sustained performance and seamless control, transforming energy into motion with purity and precision.
How It Works
Precision in Parallel
Inside Orthrus, two six-phase Axrad Nexis motors are coupled to a central inverter. This architecture allows power to flow with perfect synchronicity, distributing torque instantly and precisely across the drivetrain. The inverter is designed to orchestrate both motors as one, balancing power delivery while enabling full torque vectoring capability.
Every component sits within a forged carbon fibre housing that is both ultra-light and immensely strong. Immersion cooling with dielectric fluid surrounds the motors and inverter, drawing heat away at its source and ensuring stable performance under continuous, high-load conditions. The result is a system that is as enduring as it is powerful.
The Experience
Seamless Strength
Orthrus creates acceleration that feels endless. Two motors working as one deliver torque with breathtaking immediacy, yet with a smoothness that feels natural and effortless. The integrated inverter ensures the flow of energy is perfectly harmonised, so every drive is precise, composed, and deeply connected. It is not simply dual propulsion — it is unity.

Future-Ready
Built to Scale
Orthrus is designed as a modular foundation for the next generation of performance drivetrains. Its dual-motor architecture scales to multi-unit configurations, while its immersion cooling system allows sustained operation at the highest levels of output. Its carbon fibre structure integrates directly into vehicle platforms, reducing mass while adding strength.
The Orthrus is more than a drive unit. It is a complete propulsion system — compact, powerful, and ready to define the future of motion.
