SolarSkin Technology turns the body of the Neo One into a living source of power. Advanced photovoltaic layers are seamlessly embedded into the car’s sculpted carbon fibre panels, capturing sunlight from every angle. It transforms light into energy with elegance and efficiency, extending range, reducing reliance on charging, and keeping the car alive wherever it goes.
SolarSkin is part of the design, as natural to the Neo One as its curves and lines.
How It Works
Light, Collected.
Each panel of SolarSkin uses ultra-thin perovskite–quantum dot cells, tuned to absorb a broader spectrum of light than conventional photovoltaics. These cells are arranged in flexible layers, allowing them to follow the contours of the car without interrupting form or finish.
The energy they produce flows directly into the HyperCore battery through a dedicated module within the Hyper OS. Intelligent power management ensures that every ray of sunlight is optimised, whether the car is parked, cruising, or in motion.
Even low-angle or diffuse light is captured, turning everyday environments into continuous sources of power.
